3 Ways to Feel Better

There are SO many things that I've learned in my coaching that  I want to share with you but will start with a few simple action items.

  1. Get curious about what is going on in your brain!  WHY, you might ask?  Because the way we FEEL comes from what we are THINKING...not the circumstances around us.    This BLEW.MY.MIND.   Seriously. I had no idea that this is how the world worked.  I know many of you already know this but how many really take the time to explore what is going on in that magnificent brain of yours? By understanding what is going on in our brain on default , we can then become more intentional about how we want to think and feel. First step is get curious...do a thought download and empty out all the thoughts in your head.
  2. Use the amazing power of your prefrontal cortex and start deciding ahead of time.  When we "go with the flow" we make reactive decisions and our primitive (or I like to say toddler brain) likes to have fits and choose the easy, comfortable path.  By practicing this skill you build confidence in yourself and can get so much more done.  I have much less exhaustion when I decide ahead of time.
  3. CONSTRAIN!   There are so many awesome things to see and do in life but when we don't prioritize and constrain we feel confused and overwhelmed.  Make 1 goal at a time. Simplify your meals. Simplify your wardrobe.  You will have much more mental energy to spend on other things.
